The Verlo Franchise Advantage:
A HISTORY OF QUALITY
Co-founders Guy Day and Dale Williams
Founded in the late 1950s by school chums Dale Williams and Guy Day, who sought to build a better mattress business, Verlo Mattress Factory Stores’ philosophy was simple: to offer handcrafted, customized mattresses while keeping quality and customer service first.
Growing word-of-mouth referrals and flourishing demand prompted founders to open the Verlo Mattress Factory Stores name (coined after their wives’ names Verna and Lois) to franchise opportunities.
This two-man operation has grown to over 40 franchise mattress stores, but its original philosophy of quality and customer service remains steadfast. Verlo Mattress Factory Stores is the only franchise opportunity in an industry driven by population growth – an industry largely insulated from economic cycles because of the constant consumer need for mattress replacements and the consumers’ persistent desire to upgrade. We’re on the quest for strategic growth partners to share the blueprint of our success in an already well-established industry.
