Founded by two school chums seeking to build a better mattress company, Verlo Mattress Factory Stores’ philosophy was simple: to offer handcrafted, customized mattresses while keeping quality and customer service first. Growing word-of-mouth referrals and flourishing demand prompted founders Guy Day and Dale Williams to open the Verlo Mattress Factory Stores name (coined after their wives’ names Verna and Lois) to franchise opportunities. The two-man operation, founded in the late 1950s has grown to over 60 franchise mattress stores, but its original philosophy remains steadfast.
A glimpse into the largest Craftsman-Direct® mattress retailer’s past illustrates its unique presence in today’s marketplace. Verlo Mattress Factory Stores is the only franchise opportunity in an industry driven by population growth – an industry largely insulated from economic cycles because of the constant consumer need for mattress replacements and the consumers’ persistent desire to upgrade.
We’re on the quest for strategic growth partners to share the blueprint of our success in an already well-established industry. The opportunity is effervescent and our ability to arm you with the tools and expertise you need to succeed has never been stronger!
